COOKING CLASSES & OTHER EVENTS THE CO-OP IS INVOLVED IN

One of our missions is to support our local community by being present and accessible in as many places possible. Not only can you find us Saturday mornings, June through September from 9am - 12pm, at the Ticonderoga Area Farmer's Market, you can also find us at many area festivals in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. You can also find us in The Co-op Kitchen! Join us for one of our cooking classes.

ABOUT CHEF JAMES BEATTY

Chef James grew up in Saranac Lake and studied Culinary Arts at SUNY Cobleskill.  After graduation, Mr. Beatty moved to the Boston area where he spent the next 20 years working his way up to being Executive Chef at some of the region's largest hotels including: Westin Waltham Boston; The Albany Hilton Downtown; and was the Director of Food and Beverage for Marriott International. Fun fact: while at the Westin, Chef James hosted the New England Patriots and teams playing for Boston College!  

 

Accolades include a feature on "The Chef's Plate" cooking show; multiple appearances in New England Bride Magazine; Best Chef on the North Shore (2013); and Best Chef in New England at the Food Fanatics Live Event (2017). Chef James was also one of four global executive chefs that worked with Marriott International in developing recipes for their wellness program, with his core recipes being featured at every Marriott Westin hotel in the world.
