DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION
COMMITTED TO BEING A DIVERSE, EQUITABLE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY PARTNER
The Ti Natural Foods Co-op is committed to being a diverse, equitable and inclusive community partner. Whether you're a shopper, an employee, a volunteer, a supplier or a member, it's our goal to make sure you know you are valued, respected and empowered to participate fully.
DIVERSITY
The Ti Co-op understands that recognizing and valuing differences (including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, education and socioeconomic background), creates a rich environment where varied perspectives and experiences promote creativity, innovation and better decision-making.
To that end, we encourage diversity in our employee pool, our membership, our supplier pool, and our board of director pool.
EQUITY
We believe that access to healthy food and opportunities to work and grow are essential to our community's well-being. The Ti Co-op is committed to providing specific support and opportunities to all, removing barriers that disadvantage certain groups.
To that end, we provide access to healthy food for all by accepting SNAP benefits & Wellness RX coupons. We provide food geared to specific health & cultural diets unavailable elsewhere in our community. We provide a retail outlet for local farmers. We offer volunteer work opportunities to intellectually and developmentally disabled through our Mountain Lake Services partnership.
INCLUSION
One of the things that differentiates the Ti Natural Foods Co-op from other grocery stores is our welcoming environment. Whether you're a supplier dropping off your product or a customer looking for a particular product, the co-op team will take care to attend to your needs. The co-op values an inclusive culture that fosters collaboration, innovation, and mutual respect.
To that end, the co-op empowers employees and members to provide valuable feedback through surveys, suggestion boxes and at board meetings. During our annual meetings, attendees share their ideas, ask questions, and vote for board members & round up partners. The co-op board and staff are always open to hearing from community members and partners.
