Samual Smith's Chocolate Stout

STYLE: Stout

ABV: 5.0%

Samuel Smith’s is brewed in Northern England, in the town of Tadcaster. Tadcaster has been brewing beer for centuries; with the earlies breweries in the town being first recorded in 1341 A.D. With a population of 6,000 people, Tadcaster is the second most important brewing hub in England. In large part, this history and tradition comes from the great limestone filtered water that is abundant in the region. Three breweries remain in the town of Tadcaster, with Samuel Smiths being the oldest in all of Yorkshire (formed in 1758). Samuel Smith’s uses traditional stone Yorkshire ‘squares’ for brewing- essentially a large, square, open air vat.

This beer has a great chocolate smell and taste, without being overly sweet. With low carbonation helping lead to a creamy smooth finish will keep you coming back.

FUN FACT

This beer is certified USDA Organic.
